Not only a soundtrack, but an outstanding sampling of some of the best Jamaican music (reggae, ska) out there.

I've heard this album so many times that I physically can't listen to it anymore, but it is a truly great album.
Best song: Johnny Too Bad

Amazing album, some of the picks aren't too great but the Jimmy Cliff songs, river of babylon and Johnny Too Bad are great.

Would be nice if this WAotD feature showed the album's origin. But I sense that this is a Jamaican album! _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

Yeah, it could be useful for when you don't know but are too lazy to go to the artist's page.

One of the only reggae albums I've ever heard. What I really like about it is that it really feels like a great blues album, like something Robert Johnson would have made. At once very aware of the despire and hopelessness in the word and yet also very hopeful. Classic. The only way this could be any better would if it had "Israelites", by Desmond Dekker (well, it was on the deluxe edition, but that doesn't' really count).
