PLEASE REMEMBER: This tournament (and by extension the voting within) is based purely on the albums and singles presented by each team within each match. This tournament's aim is not to come to a decision on which year is best (as that would be impossible and pointless). Any arbitrary discussions of that sort is reserved for the music forum.

I only like one album (and no singles) from that list, but I know there's a lot more that I'm really into from 1984 yet to come. I don't think there's a whole lot from '98 that I'm too fond of (aside from hip-hop - but then I don't expect joyofdivision's choices to be overtly hip-hop heavy). Interesting matchup.
