What is wrong with BEA?

This site has potential, is more organized and clean than RYM, so why things are running so slow down there?
is BEA underrated?

I don't quite get what you mean. Are you talking about BEA's lack of exposure, or how it's being run?

How many do you expect? I've been here on and off for while. I can actually tell you that it's grown a lot over the last few years... but it's probably never going to a major web site like... Facebook or something (That's probably not a good comparison). ๐Ÿค”

You know what they say about too many cooks though.

I mean BEA is the best site i found about albums , but lacks a little in the question of active members and replies. Some other community i attended to,there were a lot more discussions (good) (but....) the members were a lot more threatening that the members here. Me and my friends were afraid to reply cause people there were so fucking trolls.
I see that is not the problem here, cause one of the things i noticed here is how BEA users tend to respond to someone else's opinion/chart without getting so much angry or trolling, things like that turns this site very friendly to new users like me, and others to come.

You should have seen the site before the moderators saved us.

Well, that does happen sometimes though. Witness Naples' classic post above, for example. ๐Ÿคฃ But it doesn't happen too often. If anyone really goes over the line, albummaster or one of the moderators usually steps in. We do like to argue though. ๐Ÿคฃ

On a side note, have you been participating in our year against year tournament. You should. It's really fun! ๐Ÿ˜

I do want too but there's almost no one to argue. New users afraid to get into conversation are not the problem like i said before, but i do see a lot members engaging in politics ... BTW Mr Shankly, are you a North American living in South Korea?

Yep, it is a great site, it may lack the sprawl and size of other music-rating websites but I like that it feels more personal and easy to navigate, and there's a nice community feel to the forums you don't get with many other music websites, even if obviously you have to deal with the one constantly angry non-sequitor spewing user who's on every website ^^^ ๐Ÿ˜‰ . But I have tried to actually get people I know involved with this website, but so far nobody is biting.

We aren't heroes. But we basically are.
