I know I haven't been actively searching for awesome music this year as I should, but I've found that up until this date, its been kinda cruddy. Perhaps it was the disappointing albums of my beloved Miike Snow, The Hives, and The Shins; Or perhaps I just dislike Beach House. ;D But am I the only one?

Yes it has. But this decade so far had been pretty disappointing, with few decent albums (MBDTF, Let England Shake, High Violet). The only albums this year that I can sort of get into are The Idler Wheel (Fiona Apple) and R.A.P. Music (Killer Mike).

Not gonna vote because I don't know yet.
I have barely listened to any albums so far, been mostly focused on other stuff. The only good album I have heard is Death Grip's the Money Store. I generally don't do my exploring till towards the end of the year.
However I am not thinking this year is necessarily terrible, their are a number of releases on my list to listen to that have a lot of potential: Sigh's In Somniphobia, ELP's Cancer for cure, Killer Mike's R.A.P. music, Burial's Kindred, a self titled ep by a black metal group called Muknal....
not to mention the new Swans album and the Flying Lotus album that are supposed to be coming out.

I think it's been a pretty good year. And the line-up for the second half looks great.
Much better than 2011 already

The only album I've loved so far is Cancer For Cure, which is epic and went straight into the main chart. Average so far overall but I haven't listened to half the albums others seem to have, honestly don't know how some people manage to listen to as much new music as they do. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

Blunderbuss by Jack White has so far saved a rather bland year. Still plenty of time though. And I must admit I haven't listened to all that much...not a lot catching my eye.

Meh, it has been pretty poor. A few albums (Cloud Nothings & Jack White) but nothing that I'd say I love. Pity really, I'm having a great time at the moment personally, shame the music doesn't reflect that.
