Wow, it's simply eerie that is featured less than 48 hours after Brubeck's death.
But in any case, this is one of the most important jazz records ever made. Without it, there'd be no Black Saint and the Sinner Lady.

Unlike chart of the day, AOTD is the one appearing most prominently in people's charts the past x days (listed in the criteria). This album has appeared most prominently (probably because of what has happened), so the two events are linked, but not in the way that is being suggested (i.e. AOTD is not manually selected).

I did facetiously suggest that, but I genuinely thought it was an amazing coincidence. But now you've explained it, it makes perfect sense.
