For example, "get into metal" or "listen to 250 albums" or "listen to more modern music".

Get into some more modern music is definitely on my list of things to do. I'm not necessarily looking to become some indie rocker, but I'd like to find a few select bands that I really enjoy. I also want to start listening to some 50s jazz and then some oooooolllldddd-school ragtime.

For 50s jazz, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus and Duke Ellington will not let you down. If you include Vocal Jazz, then you have great albums from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald.

Oh, music based resolutions. Well I want to make sure I listen to all the most acclaimed albums from 2012 now that the dust has settled and all the best of 2012 lists are out. I'm sure there's still plenty of great music from 2012 which has so far passed me by. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!
- Listen to more 2013 albums than 2012 (currently over 150 2012 albums)
- Spend some time away from music (my life has revolved around music too much at times)
- Continue to delve into older music (70s, 60s, 50s)
- Keep exploring post-rock /experimental rock
- Reach 100 entries in my One Country, One Album custom chart (only 35 so far 🫢 )
- Listen to what's left to listen to from the Swans Discography
- Listen to the Singles that got good reviews from Resident advisor
Well considering I've listened to more 2012 albums (over 150) than I have for the entire decade of the 60s - I want to start listening to more 50s, 60s and 70s music and go way past the obvious favourites (of which I've listened to most anyway).
