I know that this has been covered in various previous topics and that I could infer this from your charts, but I just want some users to put it down explicitly in one place. Narrow each submission down to a maximum of two people (/groups). If you feel that I've emitted a key type of musical... thing, feel free to add it. These are your favorites; no objectivity is allowed in this thread.

I found some of the options a bit vague (I took "Greatest musician" to mean something different to greatest artist obviously, although Mingus' and Eno's composing are also huge reasons, respectively, behind that choice). I dunno, the stuff I added at the bottom is probably of little interest and/or unnecessary. I also feel I may edit these significantly over the next few days (I already have a few times). Where there is one outstanding candidate I have just named that artist/album/song, but where I couldn't seperate I named two. Robbie Shakespeare and Sly Dunbar sort of come as a pair, so it was unfair to name just one of them. And when I say Wu-Tang Clan I am also including subsequent solo-/side-projects (and I don't care if it's cheating).
