I don't know how many of you will be able to access this link but this show started out quite promisingly (I've only just begun watching it) and I thought it might possibly stimulate some interesting conversation.

I enjoyed it, mainly thanks to Danny Baker. It's the first time I've sat through more than 30 seconds of anything with Jeremy Clarkson in it, so that's a plus. They should get Danny Baker to do Match of the Day.

Yeah, Clarkson was a bit of a challenge and his choices were pretty lame and predictable. Stephen Street's choices seemed a bit safe but difficult to argue with.

Can't wait to see which genre they tackle next.

Yeah, it was an interesting discussion, and their respective and collective enthusiasm when discussing the album format, and what it meant to them to get home and put on a new record, was genuinely refreshing. I await the next installment eagerly.

Here's some more pontificating about the wonders of the LP, and why not? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01qhn70/When_Albums_Ruled_the_World/
