Prince's 1999 was originally released in 1982 (on October 27th), not in 1983. I'm sure similar questions must have come up before- what's the procedure for changing the release years?

Miles Davis' "Birth of the Cool" is listed as being released in 1949. The album itself was compiled of songs that were released from 1949 to 1950. "Birth of the Cool" wasn't released as an album until 1954.
