The only albums that are great from the 80s are The Joshua Tree and Doolittle and maybe The Violent Femmes. Try and change my mind, I'll listen to any album suggested.

How is this thread any different from the pixies one you made, also telling us you don't like the 80s. No one can try to change. Well we can, but it would be a waste of time. Go listen to 80s albums and change your own mind.

Ok? That was out of line Jason, someone sincerely asked us for some recommends and you shun them? Thats just mean.

Let It Be by The Replacements is one of the greatest albums ever made. Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth is great, The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses, Paid In Full by Eric B. And Rakim, Paul's Boutique by the Beastie Boys, Hex Enduction Hour by The Fall, Document by R.E.M., Spirit Of Eden by Talk Talk, Violent Femmes, and On Fire by Galaxie 500. That's just going by my chart. The 80's aren't the greatest decade, but there's a lot of great stuff to be found.

Not many people post, so I try to post to keep it lively. If I'm listening to something important I'm going to post about it. I'm trying to like every generation of music but I feel like the 80s is really lacky and I often have to force myself to listen to things.

What about pop/new wave? Purple Rain - Prince and the Revolution
Art rock? Time - Electric Light Orchestra

That's the type of stuff my dad played a lot when I was younger, it's not something I'm crazy about.
