I haven't seen this topic, so forgive me if I missed it somewhere.
I'm looking for examples of artists who have gone on streaks of five or more great consecutive studio albums. This is as tough as it sounds. Plenty of acts have gone on tears of three and four great albums in a row, but that fifth one is elusive. The Beatles never did it (their early run of LPs was interrupted by Beatles For Sale and their later streak was stopped at Magical Mystery Tour; I know the latter is immensely popular around here, but I'm referring to the original EP release, not the full LP version that collects their singles from 1967). The Rolling Stones came close during their run with producer Jimmy Miller, but then along came Goats Head Soup.
Here are the few 5-album streaks I could think of. Again, these are studio albums; if an act happened to release a live album or a greatest hits collection in the midst of one of these streaks, they don't count.
