What was your first album? Why did you pick it? (I hope there isn't a thread on this yet)

High Voltage. I thought the song TNT was funny as a kid. So I really wanted the album to laugh. I was Young.

Bat Out of Hell 2. My dad gave me a listen to I'd Do Anything For Love, and I loved it so much that it was the first album I've ever bought.

Master of Puppets - Metallica

I had already heard it at my cousin's house and immediately fell in love with it and I just had to own it.

A Night at the Opera (I have no doubt that this played a significant role in making it one day turn out to be my favorite). I was in 6th grade and dug up an old copy of my brother's Queen Greatest Hits. I started listening to it and pretty much instantly fell in love with it. It was pretty much all downhill from there. I kind of became obsessed with them. Early in my obsession, my brother told me he had a copy of A Night at the Opera lying around somewhere, so he dug it out for me, and voila, swedenman gets his first album. My second album was Sheer Heart Attack. After I listened to that I pretty much had to collect their entire catalog. So I did.

First I was offered : Michael Jackson, Thriller. EDIT : or the blue Beatles comp', I can't really remember.
First I bought myself : Les Rita Mitsouko, The No Comprendo.
First I stole : Echo & The Bunnymen, Ocean Rain (cassette format of course).
