I think info on the band, such as band members, former members, and pages on them and their history might be a good idea, as long as it's kept a little short. Ex:
Meat Loaf
Birthdate: September 27, 1947
Known Bands: Meat Loaf Soul, Stoney & Meat Loaf, Neverland Express
Notable works outside of music: The Rocky Horror Picture Show
And how about special background info for an artist's songs on the song's page, such as:
I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)
Written by: Jim Stienman
Song Meaning: A man keeps making promises to his love, but keeps taking them back.
Is There a Music Video: Yes
Video's Director: Michael Bay

I like the idea, but I'm not sure it's what BEA should be dealing with.
I personally come to BEA to see what different people think of an album and where it stands in the bigger picture. If I need any more information I can very easily search it into Google and find it on Wikipedia, Last.fm or a number of sites with this info already cataloged. Keep it simple, BEA is a music rating website.
That said, would could be interesting is having a small section on an album page where critics ratings can be recorded.

The difficult of doing this is consistency as I can imagine not all artists will get the same treatment and there will be many different authors. One idea might be to pull the info from Wikipedia, but a lot of artists have extremely long bio's and the content won't be unique to BEA which will lose its impact. We could provide a link to the English article on Wikipedia or something like that instead. Critics ratings are a good idea, but there needs to be a way of entering these and a list of sources that we consider authoritative (similar to the idea of recognised charts).
I wonder if I'm taken seriously around here. Come on. The point of all this info is so you don't have to waste time going to another freakin' website. These aren't the worst of ideas.
I'm sorry if I'm blowing up out of anger here. But I want this idea to be serious. And if there's to be any humor, PLEASE keep the sex to "That's what she said" jokes, not posting pictures of genitals.
