Why in gods name is your list of 20 albums only rock albums.
Do you honestly believe that all of the best music is rock?
Look over best of each decade, almost only rock music, its so rediculous.

Just because biased rock critics and morons grew up listening to rock music does not mean all the best music is rock.

This really suck, just because you know how to play a guitar you somehow make better music than everybody else? Come on.

Can`t wait for some real historians to come in and give the really talented musicians some credits and attention. Everything thats been on the airwaves the last 60 years have been dried out stupid watered down rock music thats all about the attitude and not about how good the music is and manufactured music.

Of course there are good rock bands ( Beatles, floyd, springesteen, dylan etc.) but jesus christ.

Those statistics of so called "best albums".
Most of the people here seem to only have embraced rock music.

Their are definitely some questionable choices in the top 20 of each decade. I think a few albums are getting so high purely because it is "cool" to like them. And yes, there does seem to be a bias for rock music, although I have seen many charts on the site that are not rock orientated.

The best anyone can do is make a chart of their own favorites and add it to the pool of all the other charts.

Agree. Rock is high in the conscious of most people here. And in saying that, there is only a handful in my chart that isn't rock.

Okay, I did finish a rant on another thread but I need to voice an opinion on this quote. Which "real" historians are coming? And I don't think anyone called themself an historian. "Dried out stupid watered down [or DOSWD] rock music" - great line but there is a lot of music, not necessarily on the airwaves that isn't about attitude. I believe there has been good rock musicians as you have stated bolle. But I want to know which musicians are the DOSWD rock music culprits?

I went alittle overboard to get my message across.

But comeon, just now I heard a Fall out boy song.

Its like Bob dylan said about todays music, they are still clinging to the 60s, not much inventiveness going on.

Rock music is somehow "cool" and better than other types of music, how many punk, emo, metal, indie etc. band are touring and making music right now? And how much difference is there between these bands?

Music stations are comfortable playing rock and manufactured pop because they know it will sell, and now we are in a watered down dry spell(hehe)

Yea right, like you don`t get what I`m talking about, there are hundreds of punk bands, they all make pretty much the same stuff. They took the earlier band, changed the chord structure alittle bit and BHAM
