Who hasn't seen the LOTR trilogy and loved it? Which is your favorite one? Also, who are your favorite characters?
My fave is the first one, and my favorite characters are Frodo for Elijah Wood's fantastic acting, Aragorn for his backstory and badassness, and Pippin for his humor and accent..

Anyway, the books are better to understand the characters (and lots and lots of backstory), but the movies are better for the actual battle scenes. Frodo's a much better character in the books, for example.
Also I voted for RotK. The army of the dead is just so goddamn awesome. Two Towers is very very close though. Actually...now I'm rethinking it. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
Seriously? All Frodo ever does is bitch and moan about the ring and gets a spider to make him its bitch.
I've always thought they did a terrible job adapting Frodo to screen. Elijah Wood was a fine casting I guess, but the script made him look like a fucking queen which isn't even remotely accurate to the book. He was much more courageous and confident in the books, and generally just more of a hero figure. They make him look much too weak on screen.
