I'm currently in the market for some new headphones and was wondering if y'all had some suggestions.
Right now I have Grado SR60i's, which I've honestly enjoyed immensely. The sound quality is incredible, but after so much use they're (literally) falling apart. On one hand, I'd be OK with just ordering another of the same pair, but they're open-backed, which means they block almost no noise. This can and has been very annoying. I'm just very nervous that anything else I get (for under $100) won't match up the sound quality I've been used to with the Grado's.
I currently use the Philips Citiscape Uptown's and they are absolutely excellent headphones. They retail for 150$, but amazon is selling them for 75$ right now. The isolation is the best I've ever heard it literally blocks out everything, while at the same time leaking almost no noise, and the sound quality is absolutely excellent, I highly recommend them.

Would love some great studio-style headphones, and I guess since my poor ass is dreaming I would also like a pony. But no, you can legit get a great pair of studio-quality headphones for under a 100 bucks, just don't jump at the first pair you see.
I have Hershey's headphones with big leather ears. They're a little cheaply made, but they sound beautiful! They're the only way I listen to my music when I use headphones. I even have a pair of fancier, well-built, and expensive headphones and they don't even sound as good as these Hershey's ones. YT and these headphones are a great match!
Anyway, I definitely didn't pay over $100 for mine, I believe I got them at Best Buy at a discounted price or something. I'd highly recommend them, though. I've had them for about 5 years now (I think), and there's only minor wear/tear on the actual cloth area that goes on the ear, but still comfortable and great sound quality.
Anyway, looking at the link again, these appear to be the exact headphones I have, down to the case and the cords that come with it (they're just headphone jacks, one is approx. 45"/115cm, the other is approx. 17"/45cm).
Again, I'd highly recommend them, and as I've used mine a lot and they're still in good shape, I suppose I could recommend buying a used set from Amazon (there's a few that indicate "like new" for under $80). _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
