Has anyone heard of this site.. It's where you can 'backup' at least 2gb of files online and send emails out to anyone who you want to share them with. A great way of sharing stuff with friends without the need for USB sticks

This app is absolutely amazing, especially if you have an Iphone or Ipad.

I have a folder full of CNG demoes that I'm willing to share with anyone interested.

and you can pay for tons more memory. If you just want to store 2GB, it's great, but if you want to store anything beyond that it's cheaper just to get an external hardrive.

I use Dropbox all the time. If you travel a lot and use multiple PCs, you just create a dropbox folder on each computer and you then have up-to-date files on all computers. (2 GB limit is only a problem if you use Dropbox to share media files)

I only share my stuff with people that I know personally, so I usually just give them my external, no need for dropbox

Dropbox is great for storing a few files in the cloud when you need to access them on multiple devices at several different locations (work, school, etc.) or share them with a few people. However, it's otherwise much cheaper, faster and more practical to just get an external HDD if you're going to primarily just use one PC. You can easily get a 1 TB hard drive for under $100 at many stores. I say that's more than worth it for more storage than I'll probably ever need. Also, they are portable so they can be moved from device to device if necessary, though it's true they won't work on cell phones and other portable devices, but I see no reason to use them for that purpose anyway. Why would you need that many files on a cell phone? And if you do for whatever reason, than Dropbox and other services like it work fine for 2 GB and under, and I can't see myself ever needing to store any more than that in the cloud. I feel much safer and more comfortable keeping everything else stored on a physical hard drive.

I absolutely love that app, when i got my new computer it was super easy to transfer files. i was dead broke at the time so this would have to do until i bought a external hard drive.
