  • Post subject: Stream-of-Consciousness Thoughts as you Listen to Music
  • Quote
So, this thread is basically just for typing somewhat stream-of-consciousness thoughts on an album or song as you listen to it, or just what it brings to mind, or something meow.
I think it would be interesting and beautiful to see just what you think of the album on a less structured thought-out level. In some cases, it may turn out funny, in some cases, poignant. Stream of consciousness is always fun. And that doesn't even mean it can't be punctuated. 🤣 I sometimes find it fun just to write about how the album makes you feel as you listen to it. It is also a good way to let out random emotions that albums like procuring, or even just bringing to the surface. Hell, if you just want to type the song lyrics with lots of emphasis on the vowels, then do that...
And yes, I just copied and pasted certain bits from when I proposed the idea in Musical Random Chat. I'm lazy, get over it. 🤣

Good idea. Might help me develop confidence in writing about music again.

Tell me an album and I will try.

Hmm...How about...Hurtbreak Wonderland by World's End Girlfriend? Have you heard that yet? Go listen to it and then ramble stream-of-consciousnesses-ly! 😜

How about We're Only In It For The Money by Frank Zappa? A stream of consciousness thing listening to that would be weird as fuck.
