If there is another mechanism for requesting a moderator's help, I couldn't find it. I suggest we put up a forum or at least a sticky thread for the purpose. (although, maybe I'm confusing moderator with database administrator).
As an example, here is my situation.
I tried to create an album, (That Thing You Do Soundtrack). I put in the album cover art, added the first track, hit enter. It thought I was finished, but I was not finished, so I hit the back button. My first track was gone. After poking around, I got back to the editting page, and added the fifteen tracks.
When I went to look at the results, each track was on there twice. The first track (the one I'd made the mistake on) was on there three times. I tried editing it again, but could not find a way to delete tracks. I duly noted the reason for requested change in the space provided, but had not made any actual changes so I'm not sure what that's going to do.
Meanwhile, I went to look at my chart. It was listed, but the album art and the tracks were not there. The one on my list was album number #45062, the one I had made the edits to, it turns out, was #45060.
What it should be is one album, with fifteen tracks. I could poke around some more and try to fix it, but frankly, I'm afraid of making it worse.
Please advise.

Hmm, so it seems the album added twice and one of them added the tracks twice.
I'll try help as this the first time it's happened to you, first of all the blank album should be marked as a duplicate with the correct album ID being entered in the comments, I did that just there. The blank album will be deleted anyway later on (I presume it's albummaster who deletes duplicate albums), it happens from time to time so don't sweat it (Happened me twice just last night).
As for the actual album where you filled in the details, only the user who added the album to the site can edit it for the first hour, after that anyone can change its details, so as of now no one else can modify the album. You can try delete the extra tracks if the album is not marked as complete, if it is marked as complete I'm pretty sure only data moderators can change the details (Users who have over 1000 mod points as far as I know), but they'll only be able to change the album after it has been on the site for over an hour.
Hope this helps. If you're still having problems just let me know and I'd be glad to help mod the album after its been on the site for an hour. _________________

Album is actually available for editing by data moderators so I deleted the duplicate tracks, think it's sorted now. _________________

Thanks, Patman360. The album page looks correct now.
Was this the correct way to ask for help, or is there another channel for that?

You're most welcome!
Well usually if there's a problem with an album it will be marked as incomplete in the 'Newly Added Albums' section, allowing a data moderator to edit any problems, however in some cases where an album is marked as complete (As was the case with your album) it may go unnoticed for error (Although albummaster or other mods may check all the albums added, I'm not too sure on that matter), in that case it might be useful to PM a data mod to help with any changes. Think that's how I'd approach it anyway. _________________

Sorry that you had problems. It sounds like when 'enter' was clicked, it submitted the form, so that when you clicked back and re-entered the information, it then got added a second time (and duplicated). It sounds like something needs to be added to those pages to protect them being submitted when enter is pressed, so this will be added to the list.
If an invalid track-listing is entered e.g. with duplicate or missing tracks, as Patman360 mentions, it's fairly easily identifiable from the newly added albums page, so it's helpful to report these issues, but ultimately they will get picked up anyway. The best way to report these types of issues (as you did) is to leave a comment on the relevant admin page using the 'Flag this album for investigation' section as these get actioned multiple times a day.
Regards deleting tracks, there is a check box against each track which, if checked, deletes the track. However, this functionality is only visible to data moderators due to the risk of it being misused.
