I recently gave Green Day's album '¡Dos!' a listen. Must say I was impressed by the songwriting on display. Very simple yet wonderful. Would have thought Green Day had gone past their strongest years. Hopefully you won't miss out on this album. I know I almost did. Laughing

I haven't listened to anything by Green Day after American Idiot. Tried 21st Century and couldn't get past the second track. Was gonna try the Uno, Dos, Tre thing but Billy Joe's latest tantrum made me forget about that.

I didn't even hear about that.

21st Century Breakdown was alright, though I'm not sure I ever listened to the whole thing. I haven't listened to the trilogy yet, though I plan to eventually.

I'm not terribly crazy about Dookie or American Idiot these days, so I'm thinking the latest trilogy probably won't be up my alley. I'll probably check it out sooner or later.

I recently wrote a blog post on Green Day and what I thought of the new albums. Let's just say I wasn't too impressed:

"To be honest, I’ve listened to Uno and Dos only once. I still have Tre unopened in my room. But I think I’ve heard enough to make a judgment. It all boils down to quantity over quality. There are just too many half-baked ideas in every song. “Oh Love” doesn’t achieve liftoff and “Kill the DJ” is an embarrassing attempt to sound like Franz Ferdinand. “The Forgotten” is a ballad that deserves to be on adult contemporary radio next to Michael Bolton. It’s no wonder why Billie Joe had a meltdown. He must have realized what his band had become."

With that being said, I still remain a Green Day fan. I've loved them ever since I was 12 years old. It's just that I have to be honest and express my feelings truthfully.

I love ¡Dos!, probably my 4th favourite Green Day album after Nimrod.
