I love music that feels like it's creeping up on me, that something almost sinister is present and is being carried through the music. I love that uneasy feeling that music can create, I've never got that with film, tv, or books. I think it's because I listen to a lot of music at night whilst going for walks, and that whole atmosphere lends itself to that feeling. It's like something is trapped in the music, it's suspended just behind you, it can see what is going on, it can't escape, but you know it's there.

Some examples of songs that give me the feeling I'm talking about.

So many feels to choose from. I guess I like music that feels like a force of nature more than anything else. The euphoria of being in the eye of a storm, or being submerged by a wave, or surrounded by wild animals. The harmonies and disharmonies of nature, like the music is coming from the universe itself rather than a person or a group of people.

I listen to music generally for two feelings:

Love the feeling of getting lost in the moment when I listen to music.
Kind of like when you get lost in gazing into the embers of a fire or the stars of the sky, or when people watching or similar gaze into the beyond moments.

Then I love the rush you can get from a super happy or violently exciting song, like smells like teen spirit or testify or the like.

I like being mesmerised or immersed within the music - and it feels like a superior is singing his special hymns into my ears. And it sends chills down my spine, and it's angelic to listen to and it's also really enjoyable. Kind of a hippy answer but I love that feeling you get from stuff like:

THE VIBE OF AWESOMENESS!

In all seriousness, I like different vibes that usually revolve around a kind of story. Like an adventurous vibe, a dramatic obe, or just a rock vibe in a song that's not even rock. Or a rock song with the vobe of a totally different genre like When the levee breaks and it's bluesy folk vibe. That's a song that my insides move to every time I hear it.

Best thread ever.

I like music that feels like being submerged in something...be it water, or pillows, or clouds, or something crazy.
I like feeling lost and yet comfortable...Like being in the biggest pillow fort in the world; in a labyrinth made out of cushions. Slowdive is probably the best for that.
