Although far from perfect, Hampton Grease Band have an entertaining Beefheart feel to them. I really didn't like that Carina Round LP. After a gruesome opener, I sort of fell asleep, then woke up again during one song ("Girl and the Ghost"), and then got mildly annoyed at the rest, which was a welcome diversion from boredom.
I actually had a somewhat opposite experience from Norman. At first Music To Eat was a treat reminiscent of Beefheart, but I found myself growing bored of it rather quickly. On the other hand, Carina Round got better with time. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
I feel the same as meccalecca.
It also didn't help that it was over 80 minutes long making it a chore to sit through. You know it's not a good sign when midway though a song, you just want to skip to the next one.
Tigermending was alright, it's not one of my favourites in the tournament but I enjoyed it a lot still.
