I recently purchased a new record player, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for speakers (my old one had built-in speakers).
I'm looking for cheap-ish speakers and tips on what kind of speakers/set up to get (i.e. types of speakers, surround, layout?). For reference, I'm looking to spend around $50-100 on speakers, and to get the speakers that fit the record player best (in terms of audio quality, not gonna bother get speakers with better sound than the record player can output).
The record player is an Audio Technica LP60 with RCA red/white cable output.
I'm a bit of a novice at this stuff so any advice is helpful. Thanks! _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
But you'd probably be best off saving up money until you can buy some speakers for $200-250, you'll notice a difference, and you have a lot more choices. _________________ Doubles & Conch

Yeah even with a budget of $100, that's only $50 per speaker, which will most likely sound like crap, I recommend saving up a bit more and seeing what deals you could find on craiglist.
I could also go on and on about how with that turntable you're going to damage every record you play on it, but thats a discussion for another time.
