What are the most informative user charts on BEA? Which ones are your favorites apart from your own? Which have you found the most albums from? Main charts, decade charts, year charts and custom charts.

I'm looking to make a chart of albums to listen from the recommendations. Regardless, just post which ever you feel and why if you want to explain.

I personally love Norman Bates' Norman's Specials charts. they're loaded with great albums that otherwise wouldn't exist on BEA.

I don't really have a favorite, but I do look at other users' charts. What I do is this. Say I want to hear a new album, one I've never heard before, something like album X that I do like. I find out who the biggest fan of album X was (determined by who gave it the most rank points, you can sort by that on each album's page) to see what else they picked.

Take Tragic Kingdom. Biggest fan is KryptoniteKait, who gave it 98 rank points (number 2 of all-time 50). So, looking at that chart, you have 1. Nevermind 2. Tragic Kingdom 3. Vampire Weekend. 4. The Fame by Lady Gaga, and 5. Favorite Worst Nightmare by Arctic Monkeys. Now, three of those albums are also in my top 60, so I will probably enjoy albums from this chart.

But that's because I was in a Tragic Kingdom kind of mood. So, next album I listen to will be Vampire Weekend, which I've never heard. Thank you, KryptoniteKait.

This thread will attract the lovers of: joyofdivision's electronica chart, cellardoor's post-punk and shoegaze charts, Poe's japanese chart, various charts by Norman Bates, various hip-hop charts by lethalnezzle, charts by popular users in general... I can feel it!

Wow, looking through this chart has made me rediscover a great album I had completely forgotten about: Ithaca- A game for all who know ! ๐Ÿ˜

Wonderful baroque/psych that was a little bit to late to the party.

So yeah, cool chart.
