I could never really connect with The Strokes. Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde, on the other hand, is mind-blowingly gorgeous and a landmark album in both the metal and shoegaze genres. Easy vote for me.

I love Is This It, but Souvenirs d'Un Autre Monde is my favorite French album ever and is not ready to leave my chart. Not a too hard decision either.

Strokes. Even though they've been on repeat, this first album is great.

Although Is This It was a crucial album in my teenhood and maybe something that I've listened to more than any other album but I've grown cold towards it in the past couple of years. Also it doesn't help that it's lined up against one of my all-time favs, an album which is just outside my overall chart and can appear on it anytime.
