Do you have favorite years in music, and do you find yoyrself often going back to specific years? List them here.
My faves are 2013, 1991 and 1976 and 1967. 2013 is my best year at 20 albums, ranging from the fabulous Blue to the not so fabulous 20/20 Experience. 1991 was a great year for grunge, pubk rock, metal, and shoegaze. Many of my top 200 come from 91. 76 was the first musical year I ever really got into. 1967 has many of the best psychedelic albums, including Surrealistic Pillow, Are You Experienced, and Sgt. Pepper (not all psychedelic, but has a few tracks.)
Fave per year: Blue, Loveless, Boston.
Other years with more than 10 albums in my charts include: 1973, 1975, 1977, 1979, 1981.
I've probably heard more 2013 albums than from any other year. In terms of which years I think produced the most great music, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 2001, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013. My favourite is probably 1994 or 2012.
This. My fav year would be 2012. Although I can say there are more 2013 albums that I like, the albums that I love from 2012 are significantly more. Any album on my 2012 top 10 can be on my all-time list.
I listened to 325 albums in 2009, which is the record so far.
As for best year, that distinction goes to 1973 (Dark Side of the Moon, Selling England by the Pound, Quadrophenia, Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd, Houses of the Holy, good grief what a year). Other good years include 1986 (Master of Puppets, The Queen is Dead, Reign in Blood), 1987 (Joshua Tree, Appetite for Destruction, couple more Smiths albums), and 1991 (Nevermind, Ten, Badmotorfinger).
The best recent year was probably 2009 (Fever Ray, The Hazards of Love, Crack the Skye, I And Love And You).

Probably listened to most from a bunch of years in the 80s/early90s but it would be hard to pick... I certainly wouldn't want to hazzard a guess as to how many from each year! It's not something I really track, well not actively. I can say (thanks to spotify, itunes et al.) that I have listened to 127 albums from 2013 thus far... and found lots I enjoy which is good!
Favourite years are 1981, 1988, 1991, 1971, 1978, 1979, 1993, 1989, 1980... it's the stuff that rocks my boat the most and with which I have the biggest emotional connection!
