Well...it has a pretty nice Kraftwerk sample I guess. ๐Ÿค”

I fuck with 'Fix You' when very, very drunk, but this is an album that I really dislike. It just irritates me. Relistened to Rush of Blood recently though and that album went up in my estimation, whilst Parachutes is pleasant enough too. But this one? Eurgh, no thanks.

Brings back nice memories, but it's one Coldplay album that I don't really listen to anymore. I'd probably still like it though, songs like A Message, the title track, or Til Kingdom Come (the hidden track I think), always loved that one. I never thought much of Fix You though.

It's Coldplay trying to sound like Coldplay.

Very dull album, but as far as I'm concerned 'Fix You' is one of the most perfect pop/rock songs ever written.

nope, didn't like this one. Much preferred it's predecessors and it's successor.
I just think it sounds so watered down, even for Coldplay. Chris Martin sounds like he's trying too hard to be touching with the falsetto and all. Plus, the instrumentation is very bland. Talk and Speed of Sound are worth a listen though, 'square one' is a great name for an opener and I can kind of see the sound Coldplay were going for here; they just didn't quite pull it off..

...And don't even get me started on Fix You, every reason why people hate Coldplay is showcased in that song.
I do kind of slightly like the organ though tbh

Bad. Of the 4 Coldplay albums I've heard (all but Mylo Xyloto), this is the only one that I genuinely dislike. Their first two are acceptable, and I actually kind of like Viva La Vida, but this one strikes a nasty chord with me.

Their most underrated album, and my 2nd favourite by them.

Best tracks: "What If", "Square One", "White Shadows", "X&Y".

It's ok. "Fix You" is gorgeous, perfect for any 15-year-old girl who just got dumped by their boyfriend of three-weeks who they swore they were totally in love with.

Seriously though, I love that song. "Speed Of Sound" is good too. The rest is decent, but nothing too special.
