I tried both this album, and Yellow House, and both of them I found to be really boring, bland, typical indie sort of stuff. :/ I don't get it, sorry.

I really liked it the one time I heard it and have been meaning to return to it. Maybe I'll use this as an excuse.

I hear a mesmerizing atmosphere in this one unlike almost any other modern indie whatever genre album, a sorta mystical and gorgeous classical-like sound which I can't quite put my finger on. Songs aren't that catchy for the most part except for one little brilliant moment that makes every song memorable. Something very retro about the album except it came out in 2009.

Mystical, mesmerizing, retro and classical-like? Why are albums I dislike described with adjectives I do like?

Don't know. First time I tried it, it went into one ear and straight out the other, maybe try it again?
