Holy shit, it's here! It's finally here!

Yeah, sorry, I just got kinda sick of waiting, everybody already forgot about it anyway, and I think it's a shame, considering what a wonderful tourney it has been. So, without further adö.

Original captain: OK Microwave
Actual captain: itsit, nowadays known as alelsupreme
Co-captain: Mancsoulsister (then known as Magenta.. Boy, did things change in the course of one tourney :p)

vs

Captain: Albummaster
Co-captain: Mancsoulsister

No teams in the finals, just year vs year, vote for whatever tickles your fancy the most.

You don't know what albums were released in each year? It's okay, to help you with that, here's a list of albums and singles used by captains and co-captains in the tourney. To repeat, your votes should not be limited to the albums on the list, this is just to help you decide. If you know a particularly good album or single from the year you'd like to win, please mention it in the thread. I mean why not. Also, if both captains have more up their sleeve, don't hesitate to do the same.

I think '88 may be stronger as far as singles go, but '71 has an unstoppable choice of albums.

1971 gets my vote.

1988 revolutionised many genres. 1971 was very derivative other than the works of Zeppelin and Sabbath.

So... Faust is more derivative than Zeppelin?

Have you actually listened to most of those albums?

Both years were definitely amazing, but 1971 has too many of my favorites not to vote for it.
