Most of us on this site rate albums very differently. Just wondering what most aim for their average to be. While my average is a 78, I aim for a 75.

Whatever I rate it. 🤣 Seriously though, I haven't got an average I am aiming for.
Hoping I can get my ratings down to a few different numbers though. Going for:
100 - Best
90 - Favorites
80 - Favorites
70 - Great albums
50 - Good albums
30 - Albums which require more listens.
10 - Albums in dire need of a new ear.
The 50s and 70s are becoming huge so it will probably near one of those numbers

I mostly rate tracks 75. Here's how I rate.
0 = One of the worst songs ever.
10. = Terrible
20 = Pointless
30 = Bad
40 = Barely tolerable
50 = Tolerable
60 = So-So
70 = Decent
80 = Good
90 = Great
100 = Perfect

It's a strange question, but you know.. You can't have good without bad. Or, how would you know that what you're listening to is really good, if all you listened to was of the same quality?

Most albums I listen deserve 100 just for me enjoying them. The ones that are cherished are the ones that I have no way to rate. Simply put, when an album has such a personal feel to it that it becomes one of your favorites, then rating becomes kind of pointless. Those albums deserve worship more than they deserve good ratings.
