While Black Sabbath have many classic albums which are talked about a lot, there are a few which you never hear about. Artists like Radiohead, The Beatles, Pink Floyd etc have no albums which are truly forgotten on this forum. Black Sabbath, along with the likes of David Bowie, Van Morrison, Neil Young, The Beach Boys etc, have a group of classic albums talked about often and another group of albums which seem all but forgotten. Van Morrison definitely. I've never seen them spoken about outside of 3 or perhaps 4 albums while he has 34 albums altogether. You're more than welcome to do a copy cat thread for Van Morrison.

The idea of this thread is to put a spot light on 'The Forgotten Black Sabbath albums'. Sure you could say they are forgotten because they are terrible or because of line up changes. Nevermind, they deserve their chance. 😄 If anyone has heard any of the albums mentioned in the above poll be sure to say what you think about them. Promote them if you think they are worthwhile. Say if you like or love any. If at least one person can be inspired to give any a listen and find they enjoy them that would be great.

The only album I have heard above is 'The Eternal Idol' which was pretty good. I didn't see anything wrong with it. Just another good Black Sabbath album not vastly different from 'Born Again' or 'Mob Rules'.

Which of the poll choices have you heard?

This is mostly true, but Heaven and Hell and 13 are also good.

Among that group, Cross Purposes is the runaway favorite for me.
