One of the most underrated masterpieces, by one of the most underrated bands. While the lowbrow appeal of the likes of Oasis, still gets them mentioned often by the average person, Suede is a band that is more popular with critics, especially british ones, being the "underdog" of the britpop big 4. Named the 31st greatest album by NME on 2013, and placed at 77 by Uncut, DMS is a treasure waiting to be found by any glam rock/early Bowie fan. It's mix of ballads, with glam rock tracks, somewhat resembles Aladdin Sane, and contributes in turning what could be an overly long record, into an enjoyable trip. Favorite tracks : Heroine, New Generation, We Are The Pigs.

The peak of post-hardcore, and the best rock album of the 2000s, my favorite album of the 21st century. catchy riffs, anthemic songs, with engaging and touching lyrics, and a storytelling that expresses an edgy/dark side of human emotions. Favorite Tracks : Helena, I'm Not Okay, You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison.

Best "compilation" ever (not actually compilation, since those songs appear nowhere else)

Consistently ranking among the top 500 greatest albums of all time, by numerous sources, this was the epitome of 2000s rock, being to it (as well as to "emo") what Ziggy Stardust was for glam rock : without exaggeration, an era defining album. With an eclectic mix of post-hardcore, glam/art rock, dark cabaret, pop-punk etc..., it's a well-rounded record, that succeeds in all it's variety of genres. With such a scope and legacy, I believe it's only a matter of time before the library of congress selects it for preservation, just as it did for Ziggy.

Once in a while,an artist/band, has all their stars align, and as result, they release an album so good, that it overshadows the rest of their discography, standing as a "Best of" compilation in it's own right. This is the case with Discovering The Waterfront, with most of the top 10 fan favorite songs being on this record.

One of the most recent additions to the post-hardcore canon, a modern classic, and the highlight of PTV discography, one of my top 10 favorite albums of the 21st century, although still underrated (though Rolling Stone gave it a well deserved nod, by placing it at 243 on it's 250 greatest albums of the 21st century https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/best-albums-21st-century-1235177256/pierce- the-veil-collide-with-the-sky-1235177578/ ) Favorite track : Props & Mayhem.

After the relative commercial failure of Dog Man Star, which was accused of being "too dark/pretentious", Suede decided to go pop, and make a record with the intention of reaching commercial success, and achieved just that, containing some of their most widely known songs, Coming Up is considered the most accessible Suede record.

Although I was born over two decades after it's release, Ziggy Stardust was an album I grew up with, and remains one of my top 3 favorite albums of the 20th century. Ziggy Stardust more than just being an amazing album to listen (it is often included in the top 20 greatest albums of all time after all) helped shape my taste in music.
