Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 90.9/100, a mean average of 89.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.1.

How much imagery can be conjured up by a single song?
Well, this one pushes that boundary to the edge of the galaxy.

Amazing, easily my favorite song on one of my favorite albums. One of the most focused songs on the album, although it still has tons of samples and is extremely dynamic

Beautiful, Haunting, and Huge. One of the Best I've ever heard.

Just about the starkest opening to a song I've yet heard. I wrote that previous comment almost a decade ago, and if anything Shadow's work feels more potent now after everything else I've listened to.
Endtroducing is one of my favourite records ever, and this is really is its modus operandi. (Edited)

Dark, brooding. And then the guitar and drums come in and KILL IT! Awesome track.
