Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track has a Bayesian average rating of 67.0/100, a mean average of 63.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.2/100. The standard deviation for this track is 30.7.

The paradox on the words about silence and the loudness of the song is great. The original has always been sort of greasy, and to much wanting to be beautiful.
Oh the hate!
This is quite possibly the remake with the greatest improvement over the original ever. The way the power builds and swells perfectly expresses the dread of the subject material. This approach lends itself to a far better interpretation. David Draiman's voice is in the best form ever and he shows incredible vocal chops across the full range of volumes and emotions here. Outstanding all the way around.
Great song/cover, but I prefer the live version they did on CONAN. In the studio version, the vocals sound too auto-tuned, and the acoustic guitar is obnoxiously loud. In the CONAN live version, everything is just right.

What a disgusting pillaging cesspool. I would go as far as to say they pillaged the original version of this song, with horribly used auto tune on the already poor vocals and overproduced instrumentation to a song that wasn't meant to have a metal cover of. What a shame.
