I mean, I do love Belle & Sebastian but maybe you meant Necharsian? We are twinsies. Anyway, how are B&S and The Smiths similar?? Apart from a bit of jangly guitar here and there. Stuart Murdoch has a charming voice, Morrissey has a horrible moan. B&S sing about cheery things (like having sex at work) The Smiths sing about mopey things (like meat being murder and girlfriends being in comas) and even when Belle & Sebastian do sing about darker stuff they do it well. Also Belle & Sebastian having fantastic production and arrangements as opposed to...yeah.
Having said that I do like The Queen Is Dead, I just don't love it.
