|
Simple. What was your first chart like and how different is it compared to your chart today. I been using this site on and off for 2 years now so I'll do my best to remember.
2015
1. Meat is Murder by The Smiths
2. Debut by Bjork
3. Nevermind by Nirvana
4. Something from Halestorm I'm sure
5. Blue album by Weezer
6. Darklands by Jesus and Mary Chain
7. American Idiot by Blue Day
8. Punk In Drublic by NOFX
9. Aenima from Tool
10. Paranoid by Black Sabbath
That probably isn't the right order...I remember Neutral Milk Hotel being in there to somewhere.
So I went from Punk/Metal with some minor exceptions to Indie Pop and now a bit of everything....but I do love Folk and Shoegaze

Weird, I was just looking at my first 100-album chart earlier today. My top 10 is more or less unchanged (the top four are still in my top 5), but after that my first chart was pretty heavy on 5 or 6 different artists and is much more diverse now. Some highlights I remember:
- Stone Roses was my #8 overall and isn't on my chart anymore
- Mellon Collie was at #10 and probably won't be on my chart at next update
- There was no hip hop and very little that couldn't be described as rock
- There are a few albums (mostly from Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, and RHCP) that I don't even have in my collection anymore and haven't heard in years
Overall the differences aren't that odd considering I hadn't heard a lot of my favorite albums 4 years ago. It's weird seeing some of my current favorites sneak in at the end though, like Bee Thousand which has risen from the 90s into my top 20. _________________ And it's hard to be a human being. Thanks! I think I was 15 when I made it. Halestorm is alright, they are like a better version of Garbage.

had to go back and use the "Other versions of this chart" feature. January 27th 2013 I registered here and did a 13 album chart before I was like "I don't want to add all these albums!" and then didn't update again until August of that year.

Funny, I had Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream in my top ten last year. Now I still love Siamese Dream and annoyed by Mellon Collie.
