I'm not really sure where to draw the line for "lesser known" but here are some favourites that aren't too well known, a couple completely forgotten:
Autechre- Confield
Rain Machine- Rain Machine
Demilich- Nespithe
Wayne Shorter- The All seeing Eye
The Boxhead Ensemble- Nocturnes
Sigh- Hail Horror Hail
Sigh- Infidel Art
Ryoji Ikeda- Dataplex
Cluster- Sowiesoso
Squarepusher- Hard Normal Daddy
Swans- Children of God
Swans- Filth
Li Jianhong- San Sheng Shi
Eric Dolphy- Out There
Popol Vuh- Hosianna Mantra
Angels of Light- How I Loved You
The large majority of music made is not well known. By effect most music worth hearing (and most music not worth hearing) is not well known.

Since you don't have a chart, it's a bit hard to guess what you're into, but if your reference to "OK Computer" is because you like Radiohead, you might wanna check this album out:
Some people claim it to be a Radiohead rip-off, but in this some ways I prefer this album to "OK Computer".
Check out other albums from my chart if you want to, but I don't want to come up with a heavy overload of my subjective recommendations! _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

I don't particularly like radiohead or pink floyd that much, just a username i thought up.
i like melodic stuff, very much into punk, new wave, soulful stuff (i really liked cults' album for that spectreish sound) indie. i avoid experimental, jazz, country and modern hip hop. im a bit of a sucker for upbeat feel good anthemic stuff. probably why i like springsteen so much
