That's next up on my 2012 catch up list,what's it like?Heard both extremely positive and extremely negative reviews about it.
I actually liked it, one of the better rap albums of the year. He does a good job of interspersing dialogue from the movie into the album, which does a great job of setting the mood for those songs. I was actually surprised, their are actually a few songs I found moving, having an emotional power you rarely hear in hip hop. I also found the albums politics refreshing as well. He doesn't try to go easy or simplify it. He's calls people out, not going the passive aggressive rout a lot of people go with. The beats are also solid throughout, great use of strings. I could see how people wouldn't be so high on it, but I thought it was pretty good, probably a 8, 8.5 out of 10. The single "Ill Manors" is the highlight.
