Can't find where I had it (charts have also changed now so it's outdated), but I remember Loveless to be #1. Closer, Spiderland, Pink Moon, ITAOTS, Funeral, Tago Mago and Spirit of Eden were other albums in the top 10 |
Sounds about right.

If someone could be bothered, you could get everyone to list their top 20/50 albums or so and make a forum top 100. Would be pretty interesting I reckon. Anyone? _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

In fact the forum seems to have a musical culture which is way bigger than the site's, and more "controversial", or at least personal, opinions. Those reasons make the discussions more interesting than just Beatles or Radiohead arguments, and are probably what make people of the forum stay on the forum, and people with more "mainstream" tastes stay out of it.
So yes, even if the forum and the site have a common basis (particularly albums acclaimed on both, like ITAOTS, VU&N, Loveless, ...), they have very divergent tastes when it comes to most music.
This was very tough to write, I hope the grammatical mistakes won't make my point unclear 😐

The first few pages are almost exactly the same as the main chart 🤔 Maybe the forum's tasted aren't so different after all.

There's no obvious grammatical errors so well done, you have a better grasp of the proper use of apostrophes than most native speakers I'd say 😁
I'd say that I agreed with your point until I saw the custom chart that seth posted. Maybe people do have controversial opinions on music on the forums but when we average things out the forum members' collective taste is roughly in line with the collective taste of all the people who've ever made a chart on this site.
Either that or there's something wrong with seth's custom chart, it's hard to believe that it's almost identical to the overall chart. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

The chart is sorted by an album's rank score. Those are all the albums in level 7's charts in order of the overall chart. There is no way to combine all the charts by the rank positions on those specific charts. When customizing, it automatically defaults to "sort by rank score", which means rank score on the overall chart.

Yeah I believe there's something wrong with that link, because what I'm getting is identical to the overall chart. No way it would be even close to that.

It would be really cool for someone to create a forum-only chart... I think I might do that over the weekend, if anybody is interested. I'll make a thread later.
I foresee a really wacky and unusual chart.

hmmm... fail
Well, but what does it mean if you don't include anything but level 7 charts?
