I'm guessing this statement is meant to be relative? I think film scores in general tend to be overlooked by the majority of people, so to hear one being called 'overrated' is a bit strange to me. What is your general reasoning?
Mostly because film scores in general tend to be overlooked. But this one isn't. It's quite commonly mentioned when people talk about their favourite ones and whilst it is nice I think there are many more that don't get mentioned. So, yes like any statement regarding how a piece of art is rated it is relative and relative to how other film scores are perceived I think this is quite overrated.
