Hi, something similar came up recently where a suggestion was made that rank points should be tied to member levels and I think this is likely to be implemented as it would improve the quality of charts (not just the overall chart, but also the year and decade charts which can be influenced quite heavily at the moment). The weightings still need to be decided, but this is definitely something on the cards.

Could this be an optional change as I would not like to see a level 7 person with one entry in their chart have more power over a level 2 person with 100 entries in their chart.

Level 2 users can only have a maximum of 50 entries, so the weighting will probably apply until around Level 4 where charts can be up to 100 entries. The exact mechanism hasn't been decided yet, so people can still input into this. Bigger charts don't necessarily mean better charts. People could still pack their chart with rubbish just to gain a higher weighting, so basing on levels seems a fairer way of doing it and makes the site less easier to game.

Have it a function of Level 9 and above or for paid members only.
