So your saying that if all of BEA heard his albums he'd be in the top 1000?
An album or two probably would be. I truly believe that a lot of people dismiss Alice Cooper albums based on the genre that it falls under or what he/they look like, etc. Not saying this is true for everyone, but I do believe it is the case for many. _________________
Also it can mean that a band makes a good album but it doesn't have their sound. No examples off the top of my head
I don't think that necessarily makes it worse though, Sufjan Stevens totally changed his sound with Age of Adz, and that's generally regarded as one of his best(my 2nd favorite). You could make a case for Radiohead doing the same thing with Kid A, and Animal Collective and Deerhunter doing it for most of their albums.

Ah, well there's nothing I can say against that. You do have to admit though, it sounds a little Conspiracy Theorist-y to say "If people only listened to this, it would be regarded waaaaay better!"

Haha yea I can see what you mean, but I only say it about someone the likes of Alice Cooper because I am aware of his extreme reputation and have personally met people who assumed his music was more akin to black metal or something of the sort. I'd also say the same thing about Ozzy Osbourne, which I know sounds bad for me to say because he's at the top of my chart, but I know that people immediately dismiss his music based on his reputation. _________________

Out of Radiohead, Pixies, and Zep (my top three), I'd say HTTT, Bossanova, and ITtOD are the most underrated for each. But in its' own right, I can't really call ITtOD underrated because it's gotten enough acclaim. HTTT and Bossanova are two of the most derided masterpieces ever.
I just read Alice Cooper's album rankings here, and... wow. He's ignored. I'm going to listen to EVERY SINGLE Alice Cooper album. I'm that big of a fan now. So far I've heard 7. Ranked in this order: Welcome to My Nightmare, Brutal Planet, Dragontown, Billion Dollar Babies, Welcome 2 My Nightmare, Alice Cooper Goes to Hell, and Pretties for You.
