This is #1 for me, followed closely by Monomania. And apparently both have leaked.
I've decided to wait until next Tuesday to actually listen to Iron And Wine when I buy the cd itself. Haven't decided about Monomania yet.
I was thinking yesterday how I miss the days when you actually had to wait for a cd to be released in order to listen to it. I absolutely hate how every single album seems to leak early online now. I can think of so many cds where I was so excited when the release day finally came, and being elated walking out of the store with it, immediately popping it in to listen to on the ride home. I really miss doing that, so I plan on doing it next Tuesday with Iron And Wine.
It's pretty weird that a 25 year old has to reminisce about something as simple as that. Shows how quickly technology has been advancing in the past 10 years or so. For the most part I love it, but albums leaking may be my single least favorite thing about the internet and advancing technology as a whole. That anticipation is all but gone...now you just randomly find out it was released however many days before the actual release date and you can immediately go listen to it. Another example of instant gratification with our generation.
Sorry for the old curmudgeon style rant.
