Why listen to the Deftones... No seriously why do people actually listen to the Deftones?

And I wasn't shitting on Pulp. I think they're pretty good. overhyped, yes, but they're still good.
Either way, I still think a lot of the britpop I've listened to is interchangeable. I don't think it all sounds the same, just that you couldn't go wrong listening to any of the acclaimed britpop bands over one another, they're all good as well as overhyped (Oasis, The Verve, Pulp, Blur, Suede, etc.). |
Fair enough. I was really only humoring myself there. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

I like this guy.

Understandable, I guess even I would say that in terms of their entire discography Pulp are probably overhyped in comparison to a band like Blur. I do believe that Pulp are a better band than Oasis however, in my opinion of course, I do actually enjoy some of Oasis' albums (Definitely Maybe still resides in my top 100 and (What's The Story) Morning Glory? previously was in there too, but after those 2 I haven't found anything I liked by them). Pulp, on the other hand, have always attracted me more I guess as a whole in comparison to Oasis, mainly due to Jarvis Cocker, I completely agree with meccalecca saying that he is one of the best lyricists, most notably on Different Class (An album I adore). Guess this is why I prefer listening to Pulp instead of Oasis when I'm in a 'Britpop' mood. _________________
