OK so Joanna Newsom just really really clicked and it feels like the only music that matters.
That is, her first two albums. Flawless.
The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. Except it was Baby Birch that first got me into her, and I'm pretty convinced that it's the greatest song of all time whenever I'm listening to it.
Been on a huge Judas Priest binge for the past week, thanks to a huge album-by-album-thread on another forum. So far I've listened to everything from Rocka Rolla - Defenders of the Faith, so many fantastic songs and kickass moments during that era! I wish more bands these days wanted to kick ass like Judas Priest used to, while also having a similar talent in songwriting. It's bloody rare, that's for sure.

Indeed! I'm actually developing a newfound appreciation for the band. I've always loved Metallica and Iron Maiden since my metalhead days, but Judas Priest was always a fair bit behind those bands in my eyes. Now, though, I think I'm liking them more than ever somehow. 😄
