I got through all of the recommendations I received yesterday when I asked for something "rock-oriented"... found a few really good things that way. Thanks. ๐Ÿ˜ Anyone have any others?

(Gi) by The Germs

Here Are The Sonics by The Sonics

Reign In Blood by Slayer

Keep It Like A Secret by Built To Spill

The first one is one of my favorite hardcore punk albums, the second one is very strong 60's rock 'n' roll, and a forerunner of punk, the third one is here in case you don't know it, because Slayer is my favorite metal band (although I know pretty much nothing about the genre), and even if this one is not my favorite by them it's their most famous, and I guess it's better to go through their three classics chronologically, and the last one is one of my very favorite records (although it will probably be slightly lower on my chart after its next update). Not only in the realm of indie rock, but of all time. It's got pretty noisy guitars, and I think it's the best place to start with Built To Spill.

To be honest I have no idea whether you've listened to these, but in case you haven't, well I hope you have fun ๐Ÿ˜„

Edit : oh, and don't hesitate to give me something back! Any genre will be OK, to be honest. The most important thing is that you have to love it yourself ๐Ÿ˜œ

Thanks very much! I will check these out. I haven't heard any of them.

Eek... a recommendation for you. Hmm. I'm timid about that. I have no problem taking recommendations, but I'm nervous about giving them. ๐Ÿ˜œ I really like this album from this year, and I don't think anyone is really paying attention to it. I don't know if it suits your tastes (something in me tells me it might not), but I think it's great and really fun. It's the first thing that comes to mind, but if I think of something else, I'll let you know.

EDIT: Ok, so I'm listening to Keep It Like A Secret right now, and I definitely like it so far. It got me thinking about Manchester Orchestra a bit. If you haven't listened to them yet, I definitely recommend them. I really, really love their second album (their latest was great too).

Zitilites by Kashmir

Pretty straight up rock but slightly alternative.

The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me by Brand New

Emo/post-hardcore.

Migrant by The Dear Hunter

Sort of a mix between light prog and indie.

Superunknown by Soundgarden

Grunge.

Dirt by Alice In Chains

Grunge.

Deadwing by Porcupine Tree

Progressive Metal/Alternative.

Frengers by Mew

Reminds me of Muse.

Cassius is a little patchy but still has a few half decent Avalanches type tracks, so I'll add this one instead although it's another instrumental hip hop one...

Strictly Turntablized by DJ Krush

Thanks for the two Bill Callahan-esque recs, I'll search them both out and let you know what I think

I haven't listened to those, thanks! ๐Ÿ˜ I'll tell you what I think about them after listening to them.

I'm glad you liked Keep It Like A Secret. I think all of their albums from the 90's are amazing (except There's Nothing Wrong With Love, I'm not really a fan of this one), Built To Spill is one of my very fav bands. Don't hesitate to explore their discography a bit more if you have time ๐Ÿ˜‰

For any Bon Jovi fan, I'll recommend:

I say Bon Jovi because not only is the style very much like his, this album is produced by him.

Can somebody please recommend me something jazzy and electronic, a bit like FlyLo's last album? Thanks in advance.
