the album would be Low by David Bowie

which I would give up

for...

ugh I wish I could do Bowie's discography!

I'll go with Eno, too.

I cannot think of a discography that I like most of the albums in it but If I had to swap Laughing Stock I'd swap it for Neil Young's discography I think.

I would get tired of my favorite album if it was all I could listen to. The Beatles catalog is pretty much lodged in my brain, so I don't need the MP3 player for that. I think I'd go with the discography of The Who. I've recently rediscovered them, and I plan to listen to all their albums anyway. Just added Tommy to my top 10, in fact.

To address SingingPeasant96's point, a lot of Who songs -- whole albums in fact (Tommy, Quadrophenia) -- are about isolation and loneliness, so I think that will be more comforting than talking to a volleyball.

If stuck with only one album, I think I'd take Let Let Come Down bySpiritualized (it's a bit more hopeful than Ladies & Gentlemen)

I'd definitely give it up for Pink Floyd's entire discography. I'll find some magic mushrooms and space out under the stars.
