This is actually a LOT closer than I thought it would be.

Feel pretty indifferent about both, but I feel like Violent Femmes needs a little more love in this poll.

Went with unknown pleasures, and I think Hallowed Grounds was Violent Femme's real lost masterpiece

Yes! I can't understand Violent Femmes. Heard the album one and a half times. The half time was when I realized that my rating just won't change, unless by 5 or a rare 10. So I quit the album. "Unknown Pleasures," of course, had much better lyrics, vocals, everything. I'd have to go with the one I liked.

Ugh. I missed the vote on this. Not that it would have made much of a difference. So much for my favorite debut of all time...

I missed it too. I was going to listen to both, but I do most of my listening at work on weekdays and this set went from Friday Night to Sunday Night.

Oh well, spilt milk and all that.

Exactly. Yeah. I missed the boat on all of the weekend match ups. Oh well. I like Unknown Pleasures, but like I said... Violent Femmes is my favorite debut. Period. Sad
