I've had the songs in my head nearly all day. I think this could go on my overall chart soon if I match this album's mood, which I am slowly getting to. _________________
As of late this album definitely has the potential to pass up The Queen Is Dead for me. "Miserable Lie" is the only significant weak point of this album for me these days, otherwise it'd be way up on my chart.
But I'll be damned if that harmonica on "Hand in Glove" isn't among the most euphoric moments in all of musicdom.
Today's album of the day was Bethesda (2009) by Silvain Vanot. Silvain Vanot is a French singer-songwriter very much indebted to Neil Young but capable of summoning all of his influences and make the most of them into a varied, gladly melancholy collection. He's been doing so for the last 20 years and nobody cares, even in France. What a shame.
This is one of the best alt-country bands, and one of the best albums of the genre. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold
