So yea, certain members essentially become banned because you don't like what they type in their posts, cause words are "harmful". Feelings must be protected! ๐ฎ Look at them trouble makers! Makin that trouble with their words! They must be stopped!

If you owned a restaurant, and people wrote things on the wall of that restaurant that made your business look bad, what would you do?
If you had a website on which you were trying to build your business, and people came to that website and filled your comment sections with derogatory and mean comments that were bad for business, what would you do?
If you had a website on which you were trying to encourage members to make album charts and be a part of the community, but there were members of that community who made it their business to be rude, offensive, and make the place not appealing to the people you were trying to reach, what would you do?
Freedom of speech. People absolutely have it. People also have the knowledge that with freedom of speech comes responsibility. There are consequences for actions...without consequences, you'd be living in a world that you would not like very much. You have the right to say that you are going to put a bomb in my house and kill me. Do you think that there should be no consequences for saying something like that? You could say that you have the right to crap on my lawn. I can say that I have the right to clean it up so I don't have crap on my lawn.

I FEEL DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AS A PERSON OF JUDGEMENT.
If less than 1% of the people here can't abide by a few simple rules, then they don't belong here, and I think less than 20 people have been banned for behavioural reasons (the remainder being duplicate accounts.) That's hardly overkill.
Can you imagine if the people that were banned were all still on the forums today, all behaving at their worst? Can you honestly say that would be a good thing for BEA?
Have a look at the low number of new registrations during the period GARY was at his worst. Have a think about all the time that was wasted by moderators dealing with all the people that GARY upset. Remember that this site is also a hobby, and people here are donating their personal time. There are far better things that we could all be spending our time on, and I especially don't think our time should be wasted on people that are set on disrupting the site.
